Vava'u is a lot more than one of the world's most popular yachting centers, it's also a renowned water sports destination. The cyan and deep blue waters surrounding the group's quaint seaside capital city of Neiafu fill with sails and whales from early June through October. And, because of its ideal climate, water sports and leisure activities are enjoyed throughout the year.
Vava'u features a water sports venue to suit every interest. Visitors find a full range of marine activities to choose from, including diving and snorkeling, whale watching and sailing, kayaking in the local harbour or on outer-island tours.
Sailing and yachting are very popular in the Kingdom of Tonga and sailing enthusiasts may choose from independent charters weeks, or maybe for a few days. There are a variety of day trips also, through a myriad of intriguing islets that comprise the Vava'u Group. |
